I must point out that your question is bit contradictory. You ask why people would be born gay but then state that it is a choice-- an act of our free will. Those are two different circumstances I think. I don't believe anyone is born gay. Their earliest memories of such thoughts may be from a very early age. This would easily lead them to believe that they may have been created this way. Satan's strategies in deceiving mankind have always involved taking the truth and twisting it, or taking something beautiful that God created and said was good and corrupting it. He starts his deceptions with some people very early in life, because just as God has a plan for every person He created, Satan usually does as well.
I agree with what other people have said on here in that, God condemns Lucifer's corruption of His creation and Lucifer's deception of His people, but God loves every person that has ever lived. One of His greatest acts of love was giving people free will. Never underestimate that.
God is Alpha and Omega and knows the beginning and end of all things. I used to wonder why He would create someone, knowing that they would ultimately reject Him. The way I have come to understand it is that God created us in an act of love and gave us free will to make our own choices. He has a plan for each of our lives, but I think His perfect plan for us changes as we make choices.

If people say they are born homosexual, who is anyone that has not experienced such a handicap to say they were not. It doesn't matter. They feel that way. Just as we heterosexuals who are not married are to be celibate, those have to make a choice as to how to deal with their feelings.
Stop trying to figure out the Almighty Creator. He is sovereign. Jesus says to love God and love your neighbor is the highest good. The Lord provides justice in the end.

The Bible does'nt make any sense sometimes, some people are definitely born gay, you could put a gun to their head and they would not like the opposite sex. That is reality, if people can be born with both genitals, or still attached to their twin or with a tail, but they cannot have something wrong in their head that makes them feel attraction towards the same sex. Use that brain God gave you, he did'nt mean for it rot away from lies and lack of use.

The day I chose to be treated to ignorance and hate because of who I am is the day you decided to be straight.Since God created you to be straight then I guess that is about the same way I came to be me.I went through years of trying to change.I was born again Christian and went to a Christian psychiatrist and never was able to change who I was because that is who I was born to be.My love is no different then yours and just because you don't understand it doesn't make it wrong.It just makes you ignorant for forming an opinion on something you don't understand.I am not hurting anyone and my love is with a legal human adult who is not related by blood and we have been together for nearly ten years monogamously.How is that wrong?

A life that alienates them from there family and friends and cause suffer in there life.
