I am going to be staying there from sept 13-17 for a buisness trip. I know nothing about the area, I usually stay in San Diego when I go to CA, so I am wondering if it is a bad area or what? Im staying at the hilton on 168 South Los Robles

Thanks!

It's not ghetto at all! It's a well to do area and expensive as hell to live! Where you're at is a pretty quiet location, but you're not too far from Paseo which is the outdoor mall (decent restaurants, good movie theater, and excellent ice cream!). A few blocks down on colorado, there's old town which is where there's tons of restaurants, shopping, movie theaters, and bars, and couple of clubs. good places to be!

It just depends in what area of Pasadena you're staying at...

Hilton hotels aren't usually in a ghetto area, right? You should be okay.

Take care and have a safe trip.

Pasadena is one of the few areas that has healthy foliage in so cal.
The general surrounding areas are all green and with fresh air.
I drove local routes for a year b4 going back on the road and it was always nice driving around and dropping there cause you keep going and the carriage returns to pumpkin. It is dry dusty and stale not to mention hotter.

Pasadena is high end! unless you go North of the 210 then it gets a little more run down but nowhere near ghetto. I wouldn't say it's exactly a "party town" but there's places to party there.

hahahaha...

Pasadena is not a ghetto. it is among the wealthiest cities around. well, there are parts that are scary but the hilton is in a good area.

If you have time go to the Norton Simon art museum or walk the Huntington Library grounds.

if thats hotel i'm think about its is nice. pasadena is nice area in general. there are some areas that you would want to stay away from (mostly like south pasadena). but down by the rose bowl, there are very nice houses (some of my family owns property). but mostly don't worry, its nice! :) have fun, there are many things to do in pasadena...

Haha! All of southern california is ghetto. I find it so funny that so many tourists come to Los Angeles (where I live) and make such a big deal out of it. Everything seems to normal and boring to me.
If I came here on a trip, I'd be SO disapointed. Hollywood is not as great as everyone makes it seem.

Not at all is is one of the weightiest places in California. Especially neighboring town of La Canada and Monrovia.

Check out old town Pasadena.

Of course you could drive in the wrong direction and end up in East LA.
