The bottom line is this. You need to find something that you really enjoy. Dancing, Running, Tae Kwan Do, swimming, Etc. Exercise is one of those things that if it is fun, will cause you to want to do it again. You have to start out a routine under the right conditions. Set yourself up to succeed. Dont give yourself an arbitrary number of pounds to lose.
Instead try this: Today I am gonna walk around the block. Tomorrow I will walk for 10 minutes and jog for 1 min. Set small realistic goals. Dont tell yourself I am gonna workout everyday and I am only gonna eat Celery and drink water.
Food:
One thing that will help you is very quickly is this.
Drink water shoot for 32oz per day and work your way up to atleast 64oz. Get a good water bottle and keep it with you always.
Try to avoid fried food as much as possible, shoot for small meals/snacks every 2 hours this will help speed your metabalism. Train your body that you will provide food for it every couple of hours. This will allow the body to burn fats stores and not cause the body store it for later thinking it will be along time before it will have food.

my dear carmelita. Firstly your weight is fine which tells me there is a deeper issue at hand!!!!!!!
I honestly think (I am no expert but this is just my opinion :) that you are not eating because you are hungry. you are over eating because of some other reason. lonely, tired, bored, upset, mourning a past relationship, stressed at work, etc etc the list goes on! So sweetie, diets will be very very hard for you to stick to until this deeper issue is resolved. the weight you have put on is only a 'product' of the deeper problem you are dealing with. so maybe get councelling regarding what ever it is and once it is resolved you will notice that your eating habits will just change automatically and the weight will drop off all by itself! because you wont NEED to eat to full what ever void it is you have in your life. if you are a Christian, pray that God can help you with this. (Ps I know this to be true from experience as I had an eating disorder for 10 years. please feel free to email me for advice or support at supagrrrl84@yahoo.com)

110 really is not fat. I know someone your height who weighs about 150. No kidding.
Really, I don't think diets work all that well. What helped me is hiking- just walking twenty minutes a day is all that you need to do. In a month I went down two pants sizes.

Well I'm 25, and I'm the same weight now as I was when I was a teenager, so I'm not really sure of your point.
You are a good weight, you shouldn't worry. The best thing is to eat healthily for life......no diets, just healthy food with a few treats and plenty of exercise, you'll probably lose 5lb just by eating right and working out. HTH.

Actually, I don't see anything wrong with your weight. Anyway, this is probably because you're on a crash diet. Maybe it is high time for you to change your diet plan. If you belong to those who can't resist the temptations of food, then i would recommend you to eat every 3 hours. Light snacks are suitable for these diet.

Hey guess what? I have something good to tell you:
YOU ARE NORMAL!!!!!~
The healthy-normal weight for 5'1 s are 105. You're aroud that weight! So what's to worry about? Yeah, those 27yr olds? I bet they don't eat anything, except of a "safe" dressing-free salad everyday. So don't worry about it!!!
But if you DO wanna drop like, few lbs., try what my mom's friend did-- she didn't eat any Candy, Chocolate, Ice Cream, Starbucks, Coffe, or soda for a month, and she dropped 13 lbs! Try that, if U wanna loose some lbs...

If you're really not satisfied with your wieght, try deleting all dinners from your daily habbits. Also, take walks (long walks) with friends (without eating on the road or after the walk for a while - only drink water) everyday. I know a friend who has done this, and now he already lost 12 kilograms in four months!! AMAZING!
Good Luck!

After trying for 10 years. I finally lost 150+ lbs (12 stone) and kept it off for over 4 years now. I've beaten 3 terminal diseases and I am now in amazing health, all around, not just thinner.
I did it without medicine, workouts, religion, going hungry or hating my food and without an operation or secret formula. I had tried counting: calories; carbs; fat; etc. I had tried jogging, swimming, weights, aerobics, crazy medicines and starving! But nothing ever worked well or lasted very long.
I also had Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Asthma, vision and hearing loss. constant colds and ills, annual flu or pneumonia and more. I was approved for bypass surgery and taking usually between 16 and 20 pills a day.
take a look at my before and after pictures...
