STOP look and listen...

It is not about choosing a religion, as a matter of fact dont choose any of them, no none of them.

you need to choose Jesus Christ and that is all. Once you do that, God will do the rest.

Christianity is just a belief in Jesus Christ and His teachings. Religion is different and is based alot on men's interpretations of the Bible and it's teachings. There is some truth in all religions out there, it's your responsibility to read and seek and then pray to GOD and ask him on which one is right or true. Here is a great article though. I think it's worth reading and pondering.

A Catholic Utterance
In a pamphlet entitled The Strength of the Mormon Position, the late Elder Orson F. Whitney, of the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, related the following incident under the heading "A Catholic Utterance":
Many years ago a learned man, a member of the Roman Catholic Church, came to Utah and spoke from the stand of the Salt Lake Tabernacle. I became well-acquainted with him, and we conversed freely and frankly. A great scholar, with perhaps a dozen languages at his tongue's end, he seemed to know all about theology, law, literature, science and philosophy. One day he said to me: "You Mormons are all ignoramuses. You don't even know the strength of your own position. It is so strong that there is only one other tenable in the whole Christian world, and that is the position of the Catholic Church. The issue is between Catholicism and Mormonism. If we are right, you are wrong; if you are right, we are wrong; and that's all there is to it. The Protestants haven't a leg to stand on. For, if we are wrong, they are wrong with us, since they were a part of us and went out from us; while if we are right, they are apostates whom we cut off long ago. If we have the apostolic succession from St. Peter, as we claim, there is no need of Joseph Smith and Mormonism; but if we have not that succession, then such a man as Joseph Smith was necessary, and Mormonism's attitude is the only consistent one. It is either the perpetuation of the gospel from ancient times, or the restoration of the gospel in latter days."

In the end it's up to you to seek and find out what GOD wants you to do and for you to go to Him, not a bunch of crazy people here on Yahoo Answers. The Holy Ghost will testify to you if it's right or wrong.

In closing a belief in Jesus Christ is the most important thing. It is only through Him that one can become cleansed from their sins and be made whole through his atoning sacrifice. How could God be angry at you for believing in His Son, that's contradictory, don't you think.

Dont Choose to be a Christian.
Choose to follow Jesus Christ above all things.

You find out following Jesus is right through prayer and reading the Bible. Look at the Word of God with an open heart and with an open mind.

Jesus said....
"If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own."
John 7:17

Dont choose to become a Christian because of what people tell you, do it because something inside you tells you that God loves you, and that he is calling you. People told me for years that I should convert to Christianity but it dident work.
Untill I opened my ♥heart and listened to God, did I truly see that God truly did love me and did exist, once I realised that Jesus died on the cross for me, I felt such a wonderful change in my life.

I beleive there is a difference between choosing Jesus and choosing Christianity. Many people love the idea of being a Christian so much that they absorb the title of a "Christian" so much that they forget about what being a real Christian is all about. They wear the cross, they slap Christian stickers on their bumpers.

They say...well I'm a Christian, so I'm against this...or I'm a Christian so I'm like that..... They get too involved in following the church and not involved enough in following the Bible and what Jesus taught. Jesus came to show the world compassion and love. He came to heal and to bring peace.
So many "Christians" use their title for their own agendas, to protest Gay marrage, to fight wars, to do whatever else they feel is right in the "name of Christianity".
I beleive this is wrong. We should be using our time on God's earth to feed the homeless, help the needy, voulenteer for events and help our fellow man. Jesus' commandment to "Love eachother". That would be choosing Jesus.

Yes I'm a Christian, and Yes I am a follower of Jesus Christ. But beyond all labels, I dedicate my life to the Lord.

I agree with what many have already said. Follow Jesus. That's it. Start by reading about Him in the New Testament books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I believe that Jesus was the coolest dude to ever walk the planet and I would follow Him whether He was God or not. Of, course I believe that He was God. But, I think He prooves it by His life. Check it out for yourself.

Peace.

God wrote the Bible it is his inspired word. It's not so much about choosing "Christianity" its more about choosing God.

Don't just read the Bible, study it, ask questions when you don't understand something. Pray to him to help you learn who he is then find the religion that believes what HE teaches what ever that may be.

Christianity is the only religion that serves a true God and if you John chapter 1 you might discover this for yourself. God accepts us for what we are, He only asks that we serve Him with all of our hearts. The reason that you should choose this religion is that this is the only one that Jesus died for.

YOU MUST CHOOSE CHRISTIANITY!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL GO TO HELL. YOU WILL PAY. HOW DO YOU KNOW? WHEN YOU FEEL THE FIRES OF HELL AND THE WRATH OF SATAN YOU WILL KNOW IT WAS THE RIGHT RELIGION AFTER ALL. YOU ARE MAKING GOD ANGRY RIGHT NOW. IT IS THE ONLY RIGHT RELIGION!!!

JK, I'm really an atheist, it's late and I was just in the mood to be sarcastic and act like one of those Bible-freaks that post here acting like they actually KNOW God or something. hahahahahahaha. sorry if it seems rude! LOL

You choose which ever faith you best agree with. How does anyone know that their faith is right? You just have to completely believe in your religion. I am a christian and I whole heartedly believe in God and His word. I am not going to judge anyone elses faith or religion. I know what I believe and that's all that matters to me.

No matter what label you put on your self, if you follow Jesus Christ, you are concidered to be a christian. or "christlike". there's so many different religions. but one true God. its like coke or pepsi. one's concidered to be 'the real thing'. Ask the Lord, ususally His answer is the small quiet peaceful voice within you......
