Great question. No, I'd rather just not know and be surprised if He exists. Plus I can live a better life this way by not selfishly attempting to do good to get into Heaven, but do good because it is my duty as a human being. If people would be more tolerant, we wouldn't have had te Crusades, Israel-Palestine crisis, the Vatican against condoms for people with AIDS, and many other things religious is infamous for preventing like the progress of science.

I agree with what you are saying, but because of events in my life I feel that I have the proof that I need. But aside from that if I didn't feel that I had the proof I would rather keep my faith and be wrong, than to realize later that I was wrong and there really is a God.

The full truth of God cannot be grasped by our limited human brains, that is why Jesus had to teach in parables, and say things were like a feast or a lost lamb or a coin or vineyards. I mean seriously speaking, we are so very flawed that I doubt there is anyone on this board that could really survive knowing God's true assessment of our gift of life. God is forgiving, thank Him, because otherwise we are screwed.

It is taught that no one can see the face of God and live... the full truth would be too, ah, big. Powerful. Fiery.

yeah i don't know. i mean, i dont know whether to believe in him or not. he's just in my mind so unlogical. but there's another part of me that tells me that if i don't believe in him, when i die i'll be like "oh snap, i'm going to hell now". and i don't want that to happen. but i also don't want to believe just from fear. so i just confuse myself a lot haha and that's why i'm buddhist
