It might be the shampoo you're using. Make sure it's safe for color-treated hair.

make sure your using 'permanent' hair dye and not the ones that wash out after a certain number of washes. Also there are certain shampoo with color glaze in them that help keep your color looking fresh.

you would possibly want to be having greasy hair by start. shampoo your hair and dry properly beforehand dyeing and under no circumstances use cleansing soap or good shampoo yet wash later with very few organic shampoo and that too a lot less frequently

my hair has always been the same way. after you dye your hair try using a color depositing shampoo, anyone at your local beauty supply store should be able to help you find a good one.

their are some shampoos that help you lock in that colour for longer. try parmolive naturals with advocado extracts and uv filter. which can be bought at big w for about 6 dollars cheap. keep using that and adviod normal shampoos that just washes anything out including dyes. well, good luck.

Make sure that you don't wash your hair everyday.
Are you using a shampoo for colored hair?
Purology is great and it's designed for colored hair and contains no sulfate products.
