Because schools no longer teach children how to read, write or spell.
They are too tied up teaching Gay History, or Women's Awareness, or short courses in Self-Esteem.

They probably want to beat the others in answering the questions fast, for the sake of the 2 points and of course, the most coveted 10 points if their answer gets chosen as the best one. :)

Because our society allows it. I correct kids on grammar, and they don't care they are wrong. I think a major part is the terrible rap music that somehow has taken over the country.

Good question....I would say it is ignorance or just plain laziness...It irritates me too...I would say it the latter though, I mean you have a spell check, what more do you need?

because it is easier to use a shorthand of a word that sounds the same ..... ex bcuz because ....... really its because they are lazy and / or unintelligent to know that it is better for them to use correct grammar / spelling
