no, don't blame it on the mom, that's not right. If you have the money, hurry up and go buy a new one that looks exactly like his old bike that you ran over. Or, if you can't find an exact replica of his old bike, then tell him that he's been a good boy and you think it's time he gets a new bike. Or just find some way to tell him, and tell him you'll make it up to him. It'll work. You're his father and he loves you and no matter how upset he gets at you he will always love you so I'm sure he'll forgive you. Don't be too hard on yourself. Accidents happen.

At some point the child is going to notice that his bike is pretzel shaped. You are wasting a lot of energy worrying about it. Just tell the lad. What's the worst that'll happen? He's not going to stop loving you. (Unless he was on the bike at the time)

Admit it! Fess up!! Tell him that you are sorry, tell them you will either fix their bike, or buy them a new one. When you do buy a new one, have a special area in the shed/ garage that the bike MUST be put when not being used, to avoid this happening again.

A kids bike is a big part of a child hood, it's something that they always remember. I say tell the truth, He could be mad but. Tell him that you did it and told him the truth about it. BE ONE that does what they say, show him that's how thing's are done. DO NOT LIE TO YOUR KID.somebody will tell on you.

buy him another bike. but you still have to tell him yourself before anyone tells him its you who ran over his bike. It will make more damage to your relationship as father and child.

Tell him. And then replace it. BUT not before letting him know that his bike was left in a very inappropriate location.

Explain to him that he left his bike in the driveway and that it got run over. Someone has to teach this child responsibility and that someone should be you and your wife. You aren't doing him any favors by protecting him from his own actions.
