You're supposed to turn on the hot water, mix it as hot as you can take it. Soap up to elbows with an antibacterial soap, preferably. Although recent studies show ANY soap will work.
Take a towel or paper towel if in public restroom and shut water faucets off. Dry thoroughly.
If I have to open a door to get out, I use a paper towel.

Do a good full body scrub down with steel wool and antibacterial soap for about an hour. After that, drown yourself with bleach and salt water.
Hope I was of some help.
