Try books by Dan Brown, James Patterson, Karin Slaughter etc. I recently read a book (can't remember the name of the author) that's called 'The Hunt'. She apparently wrote only 3 series.. first being 'The Prey', then 'The Hunt and 'The Kill'.. good ones!
