Better.
I have talked to Iraqis who say that this is their only chance.
They desperately want to end this and move on.
They _hate_ Al Quaeda to an extent that I regard as almost frightening.
I suggest that you get a map of Iraq and stick a pin in that map to mark the location of every attack you read about in the news. If will not take long for you to notice just how small the ares that have violence in them are.

There was a picture I once saw of a lady dead in the street with a small infant, also dead, in her arms. They had both been victims of a mustard gas attack. They just happened to live in the wrong city. They city was Kurdish and was picked to be wiped out by the Hussein regime. Now, if you think we should let the Iraqi people go back to that quality of life, you're a fool or completely deluded or both. We got rid of that government and are doing what we can to insure another one just like it does not step into power. Yes, one may loosely compare the conflict in Iraq with Vietnam. But, in Vietnam we were fighting Communism and yes I admit it died out anyway--except for China and Cuba. But, the type of all controlling government and dictator would come back instantly if we left Iraq right now and would not go away. So, it is going to take time to make sure that doesn't happen.

When I was in Iraq, people came up to me all the time thanking me and our military for liberating them. Things may not be better, or even worse in parts of Iraq, but they won't stay that way forever.

I am not a soldier, but I am a vet with lots of friends still in. I think that there has been some progress. and that they soldiers over there have been working their buts off. i am so very grateful for that. you are doing what you were asked to do whether you agree with it or not. I don't think that we see all of the positive things going on here in the US to see that things are getting better. I do know that many people support our troops. I know that I do. I hope the best for all of our troops.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Blessed Be.

We had to make it worse for awhile before we can make things better.
In some places in Iraq, things have never been better than they are now. In some places, such as the Anbar province, it's pretty bad.
Over all, I do really think we have made mostly positive changes in this country.

Better, eventually. We are addressing a problem that has been in the making and being ignored by the West for many years. There is no quick, surgical answer. It would have been easier in the late '70's, but we did not step up[ to the plate.

If civil war is better than the old regime, then yes we are making things better. More people die in Baghdad per day now, than during anytime under Hussein. I dont think we should have ever gone there, as do most of my collegues (those that arn't locked in psych wards now that is).

well, as long as you are losing the war, getting injured, handicapped, obtaining diseases, yes, you are making the situation better, because Jewish controlled global money system goes down the drain.(that is the only hope i believe).pharmaceuticals and weapon industries go bankrupt.(too many expenses). if they manage to dispose you all, then no, you are making things worse.stay alive.and stay invalid. next

Better I have personally had people come up to me and thank me for being over there and helping them. I sometimes think we get more support from the Iraqi people then we do back home.
