ten years ago I looked into shipping my car across country, and it was around $1000 THEN... I can't imagine what it must cost now, especially with gas prices the way they are....

It very well may be cheaper to get a friend (or yourself) to fly out to wherever the car is and drive it back. You can find ridiculously low air fares from time to time at www.air-fare.com... and gas would probably run about $600?

Just worth considering as a second option if the shipping thing turns out to be too expensive.
