definately way too much. don't spend too much. if the girl likes you it doesn't matter if you buy one rose or a dozen. it is the thought that counts.

That depends. Was the $200 all in just one shot or was it over the whole 5 months? If it was over the 5 months, $40 a month isn't that much. I'm 19, I spend that much in two weeks just going out to see my girlfriend, let alone what I spend on her the days I see her and have money. If it was just in at one single time you spent that $200 on her, then yes, you spent way too much and need to re-evaluate what your doing. As well, unless you have exceptionally generous parents, remember that this is coming out of your own pocket and remember that when you're dating your next girlfriend. Maybe it'd be helpful to put up a budget so that you don't spend more than X number of dollars per date on your significant other. Hope that helps for you, alright?

All right first you are way too young to have a girlfriend second YES! You have spent way too much on her. You should be thinking about your future you know school, grades, and just hanging around with the guys playing video games, and other things that boys do. Do not spend your money on any girl until college! Even then, just to dinner some times if a girl really cares for you she will not ask you for anything!

How did you get this money in the 7th grade? I would think it is way too much even for a teen to spend on someone in that short period of time. You don't need to spend money to show someone you care about them, you need to spend time. Alot of times it is the little things that can mean so much.

200/ 5 = 40 a month? Buddy, thats nothing. Get ready for 80- 100 dollar dinners, plus a movie, drinks, etc. plus the gifts for holidays, helping her out when she needs it... 200 in 5 months is just a small taste of whats to come.

Jeez, that's a lot. I didn't even have a job until high school. Relationships shouldn't be about expensive gifts. Pick her a flower, write her a poem, but SAVE your money! Trust me, you will need it ALL for college!!!
