Because most leaves and flowers are not as delicious as most fruits and vegitables.
But for the record - we DO eat leaves and flowers.
Spinitch and artichokes are but two examples.

Lettuce,cabbage, and spinach and turnip greens are all leaves, aren't they? People decorate with and eat flowers like pansies, or nastursiums and all kinds of stuff from the flower gardens.
You have to be careful and check them out with Martha Stewart or somebody, tho, cause some are poison.

Actually, there really are edible leaves and even flowers! I'm sorry I don't have specifics, but I've seen both used on Foodnetwork.

b/c if we ate leaves and flowers there wouldn't be no taste and would be suck so that's why the put chemicals in the f and v we eat.
