Is it going to be hard to find a girlfriend with 2 boys? Am i considered damaged goods? Is it ok to feel like I never want to get married again, and I don't want anything serious? I've been divorced for about three months. I'm afraid the combination is going to doom me. I'm 30, and my boys are 8 & 3.

That's funny, I'm 36 and have two boys the exact same ages. I'm going through a divorce. I just think that you shouldn't think of yourself as damaged goods. You need to stay positive. Positive is the key. It will be more difficult now that kids are envolved. But just try not to think of it like that. And by the way, I had to take a divorce class that told us not to introduce your date to the children until you had been actively dating them for I think 3 to 6 months. I can't remember.
And marriage is a hassle I wouldn't want to go through again either, but if you are positive, anything is possible- I just don't want that anytime soon and you are probably burnt out from marriage too, but girls you go out with might not be, so they might have different ideas-you'll probably change your mind later down the road.

No your not doomed. There are women out there who would treat your children as their own. I understand why you don't want to get serious after a divorce.Just don't include the new woman in the child's life unless it is serious. You probably already know this. Many people in your position. Chin-up and good luck. And no your not damaged goods. lol

Doomed? Not at all. There are quite a few women out there who just like you, have children and worry about dating. I used to be one of them. It can be kind of frustrating but if you find someone that loves kids like I have, then it's all good. Just try to have a little faith.

It shouldnt matter if you and the girl are compatable then just because you have kids shouldnt make a difference. No its okay to feel like you never want to get married again because you are used to it not working out. Remember though put your boys first.
