Do you go to a salon to get your hair styled and trimmed or do you trust your own hands?

I cut my own hair. And it wasn't too bad but it didn't really go with my face shape. If you want to trim your hair like to get rid of split ends, doing it at home should be fine. But if you want it styled differently I'd say the salon.

As for color, I have my sister do it from the box all the time. And i'm really happy with it now. Although sometimes it takes a few tries because it's hard to tell what color you're getting.
And if you're going to bleach your hair, my sister said she found out the salon told her that boxed bleach is very bad for your hair.
I bleached mine though, and it looks nice because it didn't evenly bleach my hair so i have nice variations in my hair

If you want highlights, salon of course. But never get chunky highlights=unflattering. Small weaves are much prettier.

I normally go to the salon and get my hair trimmed every 3 months but inbetween I can cut my own hair or trim when needed I wouldn't recommened someone who doesn't know what they are doing to cut my hair or anyone elses even yourself...

You shouldn't trust your "own hands" because you cant fully see what the end result is. I am sure that hairstyle is an important thing to you and you wouldn't want to jepordize that. Go to a salon, those people go to school for reasons like that.

I only use my own hands to trim hair that is not publicly visible.

For head cuts, yeah I recommend a salon.

The hair is our crowning glory and since i'm not an expert on trimmimg my hair so i go to a salon and get a professional hairstylist. You could suggest what you want but of course they know more about our hair.

At the times when I used to have long hair, I only trusted my own hands, cuz the barbers would never comrehend what kind of style I wanted....
It was really hard at first but, I got used to it...

If it's just a trim I do it myself, but if I plan on having a lot cut off I'd rather have some one else do it. I can foil my own hair though, that's a bit tricky but it can be done

i not only go to a salon to get my hair trimmed i go there because i work there i can cut my own hair but i liked to be pampered and would rather have one of my coworkers do it

I've done both... and felt cuter and sexier with a salon cut... and I mean, super expensive no-holds barred, pull out all the stops salon. I was spoiled.......
