I'm about to start ROTC at my university, and there's a very good chance i'm going to join the air force. I've always had a thing for military men. Do guys feel the same way about girls in uniform?

would it just be easier to do my few years, then get married? I don't think i want to try to raise a family if both parents are going to be gone.

Military guys like girls, period. It doesn't matter if they are in the military, or are civilians. The thing to watch out for, as the person said earlier, is the fraternization issue. Basically, you stay with your own kind. Enlisted to enlisted, officer to officer. There is nothing that says you can't cross branches, however. So if an enlisted Army guy catches your officer Air Force eye, that's good to go.
I've seen lots of people form relationships in the military, so you'll be OK.

There are many guys in the military that like military girls. However there are many things that hinder a good marriage.
One we have something called fraternization. An officer cannot mingle socially with an enlisted person and vice versa. I believe it is to maintain a certain level of authority in the force.
Also you cannot date another officer in your unit, because chances are that they are either your subordinates or your superiors. This is to avoid favoritism.
And thirdly even if you get past the first two, there are no guarantees that the military will base both you and your husband at the same base. The force is always trying to accommodate married couples however with current world events there is a nice chance that you may end up somewhere in the states and your husband somewhere oversees and vice versa (depends on your job)
My advise find someone on the outside who is patriotic. I hope this has helped.

I guess that would really depend on the individual military man. As a Navy officer I see beautiful women every day, even if some are enlisted. The military is not a very healthy place for realtionships with other personel due to the fact that most commands frown on fraternising amongst people in the same unit/ detachment since it can lead to problems being carried over on the job.

MIlitary guys love military girls because it boils down to a lack of other options in most cases. Do yourself one favor No matter how much you may wanna hook up with a guy once you're in, do not give him more than a kiss for atleast 3 weeks. If you thought news and gossip got around fast in high school you haven't seen anything yet. You'll be labeled a ho with a quickness.

Some do, some don't.
However, in my years in the Navy, I can't recall a single married couple where both were military that didn't eventually end in divorce. I know people who got married at every duty station, then a divorce shortly after they were tranferred so they could marry someone else.

If men in uniform is the only reason your considering the military, then please do everyone a favor and don't join. It isn't a soap opera.
To answer your question, maybe a few but overall, not really.

I was a navy brat and the guys were mean to their female counterparts. It may not be that way now but it was like that in the late 60's and early 70's.

trust me it is out there but me, I am in my fourth year and I would never ever do anything with someone else in the military. what a horrible family life that would be. best bet would to stay single until you get out. or date outside of the military.
