I agree with you completely. There are no words which are adequate enough to say how strongly I feel about this. As a daughter of a Viet Nam vet, I find this grossly offensive, to say the least. They have NO RIGHT whatsoever to fly a buzzard rag here in the United States. My flag has stars and stripes. There is no room for any other here in this country. Something is VERY wrong when a Mexican can fly that ugly flag in this country. That should never be allowed.
I thought your idea was pretty civil compared to what I would like to see happen. My first impression when I saw that stupidity on May day was, "What a bunch of morons. If they are so proud to be Mexicans, why are they killing themselves to get over here?"

Yeah on Saint Patrics day all those Irish people have the NERVE to wave the irish flag!!!!!

look the issue is never as simplistic as it is made out to be, besides the legal issue is the moral issue.
Native Americans are the only ones that didn't sneak into this country.....their is a middle ground for reform. but some people are too extreme or racist in thier attacks...i cant' side with that.
the reality is no one is going to pay for deport millions of people.
no one is going to pay for more expensive fruits and vegatables that cheep labour provides.
There is a statue in new york that tells the world to give us your poor your tired your huddled masses yearning to be free......
that is being american.
The point is this
1) most people do not distinguish between people of mexican ancestry with illegals.....they just assume, unless someone confess there is no way of knowing.
2) the march was not only illegals but of citizens of all races and colors.
People were offended by the whole flag thing...they dont' get offended when flags are waved in the US for other occasions.
many people serving in our armed forces have parents that were immgrants illegal or otherwise.
4) Just because European decent like English, Irish, German, Dutch French people have lost conncetion to their ancestors doesn't mean
everyone should. Mexico is next door not across the ocean.......it is a very narrow world view to do that.
5) Morally as a christen it is what i do to help the poor, regardless of cournty is what i will be judged on by god........

Quite frankly, I don't think much of that person. I don't think sneaking into their house and tossing them back over the border is the answer. Breaking the law and then expecting all kinds of special treatment (free education, free medical care, free benefits, free food) is not the way to start a relationship with your new countrymen.
