You sir, are a snob!
"Art Music",
Amadeus was, and remains in my view, the Miles Davis, of his time.
McKinley Morganfield and Chester Burnett had no less talent than did Chopin.
Just ask you questions and quip tripping on superfluous and meaningless labels.

I believe that we should have a separate category for instrumentalists who want to ask questions about what they play (this separate category could be split into five different groups: woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, and guitar) so that instrumentalists will be able to answer each others questions more easily.
We should have another category for classical music and discussions about composers that doesn't include songwriters for pop, rock, rap, and other genres that use words accompanied by music.
I do love all the great questions about instruments, classical music and composers, and the other cool genres of music out there, but I think it's a bit much combining them all together. Just a little more organization would make me happy!

I don't know if it should be called "art music" but I do wish there was a category just for classical music and performers.

I totally agree. Music is so different from those entertainment thingymaboppers.
Like, classical, country, pop, R&B, etc. We want to talk about that stuff, not the other stuff.
I'd like to be able to talk about opera or classical music, or even promoting my own music I write.
