Ok girl, listen. I definitely have THE best answer.

I am learning italian at the moment, and I spend A LOT of time on the internet, so yeah... I've got a lot of websites.

* First, you MUST sign up at this website, It's been SO useful, I'm in love with it lol:

http://ta.slf.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/pa/pr/anm.php?lang=en

They'll connect you with someone who (in this case) speaks italian and wants to learn english, so you teach each other your native languages. I became friends with a really cool italian guy and I've learned A LOT. It's better than any class you can take because this is real people teaching you, and you learn to speak like a normal person and not like a cheap dubbed movie.

The only bad thing is they take about a month to connect you with someone. It's a long process but really worth the wait.

* Now, this is a list of some great websites:

- The Alphabet
http://www.scuolaelettrica.it/primaria/classe1/italiano/italiano1f.htm
You can start by learning the alphabet first. This page even has sounds so you pronunciate them correctly!

- Italian Dictionary
http://www.sapere.it/gr/DictionarySearchServlet?DS_action=Init
So you can look up any words in italian.

- Verb Conjugations
http://www.verbix.com/languages/italian.shtml
You just enter a verb in italian and this websites tells you all the conjugations. VERY useful.

- Translation Dictionary
http://wordreference.com/
This lets you translate words from English to Italian and Italian to English (other languages available too).

I wish I could help you some more but I'm mexican so the other websites I have are in spanish.

You could even contact me if you want to and we can practice or something.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

If you understand a bit of and realize a few, get a few approach to gain knowledge of extra of the grammar, and begin with handy readings. Even kid's books will aid. I'm certain higher bookstores will bring a few. On the opposite hand, taking note of Italian song whilst you sleep will undoubtedly simply deliver you dangerous desires. Reading tune lyrics whilst taking note of the ones songs, discovering translations, and so on., will aid extra. After this, certain, looking films may even aid. Try a few oldies, like from the '50s and '60s, as again then the actors by and large had a clearer pronunciation. And journey to Italy if you'll be able to. That is helping too.

first of all I advise you to find out if your family speak Italian or dialect. Dialect here is sometimes better known than the national language. I know lots of people who come here thinking they know italian but then their families and friends speak mostly dialect, which is completely different from Italian. If you want email me and I'll teach you the basics but the best thing I can say to you is to come over and stay for a while. I learnt Italian in 3 months, not studying, just by living here and napoletan in 1 month my mail is elaineke2002@yahoo.it

I don't think you can actually learn a language online, the best way is to talk with a native speaker.
If you live in a big enough city with a college, you could find some italian who just moved there and needs help with his/her english, so you could exchange practice/help. That's what I did when I first moved to the US, I helped a UCLA student with her italian, and she helped me with my english.

Actually you're in the best possible situation, go to a bookstore and get books and tapes then practice with your family members. It took me 10 years and 7 trips to Italy before I became comfortably competent in the language.
