You will lose a significant amount of weight.. I think I stayed on the induction phase for 3 months and lost 30 lbs.. without exercise. But you should exercise.. it's healthier..and you will maintain your weight better.
Be cautious with atkins if you are a carb junkie like me.. after a few months I couldn't take it anymore and put some weight back on.

exercise can increase your weight loss by as much as 50%.i was on atkins the first time with little or no exercise and lost very little. i was so discouraged i quit the diet. but a few months later i tried atkins again with walking 4 miles a day and lost a great deal more. i countinue on atkins after 2 months,and i have lost 33lbs. but my secret is i stay on induction. try it for 2 months and you will see a big change. also you need to be on carb control vitamins. good luck to you.

The best advice I can give you is DO NOT do Atkins. It's very unhealthy and just about everyone gains the weight back. If you are serious about losing weight, check out Body For Life. It's healthy, you don't deprive your body of nutrients. Start out with easy cardio 2 times a week - take a walk or a jog. Pilates is also a great low-impact workout. Good Luck!
