Has their been a shift in their function?

I believe that their are. Sometimes when I question it, I think of my Grandmother, and she HAS to be an angel, so then I believe again. Maybe there has been a shift in their function, there is a plan for everything.

There's an enormous battle in the "heavenlies" that's been going on for eons. There are accounts of archangels battling evil spiritual angelic "princes" who exert influence over specific earthly districts.
Angels have always had big and varied roles, bringing messages from God, giving supernatural help to people in trouble, fighting spiritual battles. I don't know that there really is anything NEW that they are doing. Maybe the battle between Good and Evil will heat up in the heavenlies as it will on earth as The End gets closer.

Most activity of angels is not seen or heard. The times when you hear of a miraculous intervention, it's a result of God's directive. Angels dont function apart from God and God never changes so their function must remain the same.

The angels are sent by God to take care of us. Each one of us is designated a couple of angels to take care of us and protect us from the evil forces. That's been their activity and it will continue till the end of ages.

I hope so because some people on here definitely must have a guardian angel. I don't understand how they can undress without hanging themselves they seem so retarded.
