Is Chicago supposed to be to the left of Texas when you are looking at Oklahoma or at Mexico? What if you are looking at New Mexico...or Louisiana...or Arkansas.
As another answerer correctly stated, Chicago is a city in the State of Illinois. Illinois is north of Texas. Or up from Texas. Or behind you, but only if you are looking at Mexico.
Wow...

Chicago is not a State, rather it is the second largest city in the USA in the coast of the of State of Illinois. It is far away from the State of Texas, if you have any sense of geography.

I am sorry. Chicago is not a state. To the left of texas would be New Mexico, Arizona, or Californa. Maybe this will help. follow this link...
