Most ppl have quirky habbits. If this one is bothering you, start slow and only put one thing on the right side first, ya know, get used to the change slowly. If that doesn't work, take a little time to figure if you have other rituals that are required but don't quite seem necessary -- washing your hands three times, needing certain items organized exactly perfect, etc. If you do have other rituals and they're interfering with you life, it'd be a good idea to see a therapist who is someone trained to help you figure out what's going on.
