and the object of your hatred dies? For that matter, what do you do when you feel you are here to be persecuted, and your persecutor is no longer available?

I must say that I do appreciate everyones concern for my well being, but it is a hypothetical question. I tend to not hate anyone.

Not sure if I correctly understand your question but if you are asking what do you do when the object of your hatred is deceased....then I'm hearing that you feel as though you were to persecute that individual. However, what I'm hearing is that you're really persecuting yourself. Hatred and resentments are like peeing on yourself, the only person who feels it is you. Why continue with such self defeating behavior? Move on; that person has paid the ultimate price for all the wrong he's done not only to you, but to anyone else that he may have harmed as well. How about not dwelling on the past, and living in the present.....You deserve to give yourself a break.....Be happy, peaceful, and content, but most importantly find forgiveness in your heart for that individual; if not you may be a miserable person for the rest of your life....Was he really worth it???...

Read "The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse" by David Johnson and Jeff VanVonderen (it's an excellent book!) and get therapy.

As for the person dying, I say find the grave and Riverdance on it.Other than that, I've found a trip to the batting cages to be remarkably cathartic.

People always find what they need. (How very Dr. Phil-ish that sounds.) If you need to hate, you'll find another object for your hatred; if you need to claim persecution, you'll find another persecutor.

Go to a good bible based church and speak to the pastor or someone who can pray for, and with you. I pray that you become free from this spirit of hatred in Jesus' name, amen. God bless.

Matthew 5:44 says But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Let God be the judge of the person that wronged you, don't let him/her control you anymore...... God's love means not regular human love, love that goes beyond that...... You will continue to be the victim as long as you let that person be your enemy........ Let go, and give it over to God

Move on with your life.

Unless you are masochistic, then you could look for another persecutor. LOL

I stop hating anyone the moment he/ she dies, because i say to myself that if this person was really bad ,God will punish him/her in my behalf.
I try not to hate anyone from the first place.
and I believe that:
haterd destroyes the hater more than it destroyes the hated one.
