Jesus is God. He is the mediator in the sense that He linked our Humanity with God's divinity: He is fully God and fully man (Hypostatic Union). This doesn't mean that you can't ask others to pray for you, or that you can't pray to the angels and saints to ask for their intercession, who behold God constantly.

Theres nothing wrong in others praying for you. Thou Jesus is the only mediator between man and god, others can pray on your behalf and get it through to God.

Take Care

NO! You should ask for prayer. Jesus dying on the cross gave us DIRECT access!! In the OId Testament, God could only be accessed through the priests and only the High Priest could enter the most Holy of Holies. The tearing of the temple veil represented the tearing down of barriers between God and man and gave us direct access (by Jesus through His death on the cross) to God (in Hebrews it talks about Jesus being our High Priest). The tearing of the veil is significant because it was a significantly strong piece of material. See Matthew 27:51-54; Exodus 22:33

I disagree. There are many mediators but Christ is THE MEDIATOR. Just like Jesus is the King of Kings. This means that our redemption would be impossible without Jesus. Other examples is the vine of grapes, or the Cornerstone but many other parts to the whole. Good question.

You are talking about a specific religion .This also happens to be the same one I was raised with I think. If you ask people to pray for you then they are also praying to Jesus(if they believe as you do).The bible say to pray for each other. It also says that where 2 or 3 are gathered that jesus will be there with them. Also don't let anyone feed that bull about praying to Saints, because the bible also says that you shouldn't speak with the dead.

Any brother (traditionally speaking) can pray for you. This is because of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The way it works is: You become an intercessor for the person you pray for. You should intercede on their behalf to Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Great Intercessor to the Holy Spirit on your behalf.
The Holy Spirit is the mechanism of miracles.

The only mediator between man and God means that, any way you go, it must pass through him.

If I pray for you, he is still that only mediator. I am just another man.

Jesus says about a half a dozen times how to pray.....Ask the Father in Jesus' name what you need(John 14:13).....Dont pray to us or Mary or Saints or dead people but we can pray to God for you. (James 5:16)

Who exactly said he was the only moderator? Um, no, you can have any person of faith pray on your behalf, and you can also ask that any of the saints pray on your behalf. Heck, I just threw you a quickie prayer since you seem confused or misinformed.

God bless and Godspeed
