I'm curious to see what both guys and girls have to say about this.

I am not speaking of any guy or relationship in particular, this is just something I was thinking about.

yes - but not in time to salvage the relationship - taming only happens after the right girl has left him

The only person who can tame a promiscuous man is the man himself. He'll only change if he wants to do so. If he meets the woman that makes him want to settle down, she will most likely never know it because he won't let her see that side of him. He will simply change his behavior and that will be it. The woman who tries to change a promiscuous man is a woman who will soon be alone.

If you go into a relationship hoping you'll be the one to change him, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Unless he feels you're 'the one' worth changing for, he's not gonna change, and the more you try, the more he'll want to find someone else to be with.

How would you feel if the man you're with kept trying to change who you are?

Women need to stop thinking they can "change" a man or "tame" a man. The man is who he is, nobody or nothing can change it or fix it if he doesn't want to.

Yes, especially if he reaches a certain age and grows up.

It sounds like a bit of a risk though!

People do change, I know that.

She would have to be pretty "good"... I think promiscuous guys are not only hard to trust, but, ya would have to wonder about diseases, as well.

I would like to think that you can, but the only person who can make someone change is themselves....
