Your mouth is usually sore for the first week after you get braces. Also, your mouth will be sore when the braces are tightened. However, with modern braces, you should get so used to the braces, that you should not notice the braces, except when the braces are being tightened.

oh yea lots, it's gonna make your mouth feel sore for at least 2-3 days. Or even more than that!
Sometimes the orthodontist will tighten your braces which will hurt and make you sore for 2--3 days..
But it all depends how your teeth condition is.
Sometimes it makes you look better than you did before you had them.

Both of my children had them. I gave them pain reliever before they went in for their appointments ...just in case. Neither one of them complained of pain except for the few days afterwards when the braces were scraping their gums but that was remedied by using the wax that the orthodontist will give you. Good luck.

i got them a year ago and thto get thn y are not that bad. when you go in to get them done, take one or 2 advill. make sure you get the metal kind because after a while the clear ones turn yellow! Gross! dont worry at all though, they are kinda fun, cause you get to put any combo of colors that you like on them. after you get them on make sure that you eat some soft cold food, like ice cream or a shake. good luck!

Take some advil or aleeve before you go in. IF you have any questions ask your dentist like if he tells u what he is going to do ask him if you do not understand. Also eat soft foods for a few days because it will hurt to bite down.
