I can still remember a dream I had over a year ago like it happened last night. It was so real, it's scary!

during REM sleep the cortex is highly active and activity in the brain triggers certain neurons at random (activation). The brain then tries to make sense of this by synthesising the random impulses into what we experience as dreams, for example a cell triggering the area of the brain that controls balance may lead to a dream of falling. When we sleep all sensory and motor input is blocked and neurons in the cerebral cortex are activated by random impulses; the forebrain then interprets this activity and produces the dream.

The fact that you remember them does not mean that they have a special meaning. It just means it might have been an odd or weird dream that you were emotionally impacted by, and probably thought about more than a few times. The more you think or try to remember things the better chance you have of actually remembering. So you can take this information how ever you like, but a dream is "your brain trying to fill in things" and has no meaning and does not predict the future.

I hope so. Sometimes "scary" is your struggle. I have had 4 recurring dreams , one has spanned decades. My dreams take me places I've never been. I like the dreams where I,m flying.Another one is about a huge house I find out in the woods. I only spot it through the peak of the roof through the trees. It is 3 stories. I go in . It is a big, wooden house, nothing fancy, but I climb the stairs, and when I get to the top, instead of going through the hallway, there's this huge cabinet-llike door, and whatever is beyond it is scary. It's total darkness, and then I wake up!

Probably not.

Meet the brain. He's a scavenger and a prankster. When he combines his works, he makes a dream. However, don't take them personally.

Dreams are just a way a sensory seeking brain can get stimulation when your somatic sensory input is low. If not getting the sensory input it desires the brain will fabricate the input by retrieving parts of sensory memories (visual memories are most common, but it could be tactile memories such as pain). Many times the brain just steals input from any current collateral processing going on from your previous days activities (Oh, I dreamed repeatedly about those nasty things my boss said when he fired me yesterday).

The dreams themselves are meaningless, but from where the brain is stealing it's sensory input may indicate an ongoing dilemma.

Some dreams are a way for your mind to tell you something you might not realize while awake. Some of them hold meaning, some of them are mere figments of your imagination. Say there's a person close to you who you've not seen in a long time. You may not conscientiously realize you're missing them, but have reoccurring dreams about them. Dreams often hold secret meanings, it's up to you to interpret those meanings.

Oh, I've had a few dreams that I remembered like it was yesterday! Scary is right! One was of Satan fighting over my body! I remember repeating "I rebuke you in Jesus name" at least 3 times in my sleep, then Satan gave up. When I finally could open my eyes my chest was rose up and just settling onto the bed. It was like Satan was trying to take my soul right then and there! That was freaky!

I had one that changed my life! It took 25 years for it to come true but now I am so glad that I had it to help me. I have as yet never had another like it but still know that was a gift form God.
