I dont know but my sister hates it or when they only leave like a buck and she said some old ppl leave her a quarter. When me and my husband go out we leave at least 5 bucks (and our meal was only 20) i mean what is that going to get you 1.5 gallons of gas?? I guess alot of ppl dont know that you only get paid a few bucks (like 2 and 3 bucks) an hour and the tips are what you need to make ends meat. Or they are just cheap. You know who you ppl are you should feel ashamed!

I worked somewhere where others would get really nasty when people did not tip them. I get slightly disappointed but I cannot make assumptions about who they are because of it- some people just cannot afford it, yeah, maybe they shouldn't go out to eat if they can't afford a tip but that is really not for me to judge. Maybe they were not taught to tip, maybe they just forgot. It is nice to get a tip but it is not really that big a deal- I won't let what someone else does cause me to do wrong. I know when I go out, I always tip, I tip extra for really good service so often when I did not get tipped, my first thought would be , how could my service have been better, what can I do to improve and do my job to the best of my abiblity. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't but it keeps my focus where it needs to be and keeps my attitude in check so I don't approach the next customer with less than the best because of someone else's possible carelessness.

i have never had a job that i made tips on however i do feel like you should tip well ...i am not so over critical of every single little thing the waiter or waitress does and i do not calculate it to the penny i think if you go out expect to pay the tip it is part of the deal and if you get crappy service well you need to tip anyhow because some of the places pool the money and split it so rather than punish the whole team say something to the manager about the server

I used to wait tables, and I also at another time cleaned hotel rooms. I never want to do either again. People are so unappreciative it's disgusting. The hotel thing was much worse. We HAD to do our best every time or we got into trouble, and there were times when I had to clean up puke, or ground-in cake from the carpet. Those were the people who never tipped.
How did I feel? Like I was being taken advantage of, and severely underappreciated. Those jobs don't pay much but they're easy to get. Never again.

Hey, yah I ALWAYS leave a tip and it makes me SOOO mad when people don't! I work a crappy job and people never ever tip our bussers. It makes me so mad, so now everytime I go in there I make sure to leave a tip, because they don't get paid much over minimum wage and they are trying to support their families. I have also bussed tables so I know how it feels to clean absolutely disgusting tables, so I make sure that every restaurant I go to, I never leave a mess and always clean up after myself. Some people are just cheapskates, they've never worked in a restaurant or with people so they feel it's not necessary, even with excellent service. So, in short, it makes me mad/sad when people don't tip their servers, drivers, etc. :)

I usually feel poor and broke. I also feel really ticked and cheated out of work I did. It's not fair. If I was doing something, let's say shovling snow for someone, and it was more of a nice thng to do, then nah. I don't usually care, but if it's part of a job, then it sucks! Why are some people so rude and cruel to not tip someone for waiting on them and providing a service to them so they don't have to get up and do it themselves. *sighs*

you sound like you only work for the money, and not because you like the job!
if that's the case, seriously, get another job! people will notice if you treat them kind because you want to make them feel comfortable, homy and appreciated as a customer - or if you only treat them good, because you are counting on a good tip!
if you indeed like your job, well, then i have no idea why it bothers you that much!
you can never turn back time! if you are not happy, change something! NOW!

Well I myself don't know but I know that when my sister works and she doesn't get tipped she gets ticked off. I'm sure you're not the only one who feels this way. Another time, my cousin had served some football players from another town and they left 10 cents and she was pissed. I would've have been crazy mad.

If the only reason you`re doing that job is to get tipped then change careers.
