It's well documented that he was robbed. Jones lost a highly disputed 3-2 decision in the final to Park Si Hun, despite pummeling Park for three rounds, landing 86 punches to Park's 32.

Park himself apologized to Jones afterward. One judge shortly thereafter admitted the decision was a mistake, and all three judges voting against Jones were eventually suspended. Most observers still believe the judges were either bribed or otherwise coerced to vote for the local fighter by Korean officials.

Many believe this was a direct result of what many believed were overtly Pro-American judging in the '84 games. Further, I've read that one judge claimed that he voted for Park Si Hun because he didn't want him to be embarrassed by a lopsided unanimous decision. Apparently so did two other judges and Jones ended up losing a split decision.

The fact that this wasn't overturned is one of the biggest travesties in Olympic history.

Yes sir. I got my copy from Fights On DVD.com. A trainer friend of mine told me he got several copies off of Yahoo Shopping website. I found that very website and picked up the 1988 boxing documentary. Perform a search for Olympic boxing 1988 and click on the first item. There is another site that has great amateur and pro fights on vhs and dvd, perform a search for, AmateurFightsVHSandDVD. You be pleased with the selection, the prices, and, quality. Whomever you decide to order from, take a good look at some of the other classic fights. I have a serious library in my gameroom. Some of the young fighters I train have never even heard of some of the guys I have on tape/dvd. I have tons of fights on vhs, but, nearly 90% of what I have on dvd came from fights on dvd.com, or, amateur fightsVHSandDVD. Happy hunting, and, happy shopping.
