This is conjunctivitis, which whilst typical in cats, may also be involving anything extra severe. Many occasions, it is simply allergy symptoms and dirt. However, I did have a kitten die on me who had FIP and her first signs had been conjunctivitis. My present cat will get it frequently and is healthful and energetic as may also be. I understand that Persians have a tendency to get it plenty. If your pussycat pal isn't displaying every other signs, it is ordinarily now not that huge of a deal, however a vet travel to be certain would not harm.

If it's watering and there's no redness or swelling, it means one of two things: either the cat's tear ducts are not draining properly, or there is some low-level irritation going on. Allergies are a common cause of watery eyes, as are environmental irritants such as smoke and fumes. If it persists or gets worse see your vet.

many different things can cause Epiphora. This is known as watering eyes in kittens. She may have scratched it or has something in it. You can try warm compresses and gently wipe her eye. if she will let you, hold the warm compress on the eye for a minute. do this twice a day. if not better within 3 days, call your vet, may be infection.

It sounds like she may have gotten into a fight with another cat. If not, then it might be an allergy of some kind. Consult your Vet immediately.

None of these answers helped me. My cat is 12 years old and this started in his right eye a few months ago. It's gross and gooey but I wipe it when I see it. There is no holding a 12 lb black Pooka down for this, you have to be quick! It's more like a booger than water, and it's almost all the time - but only in one eye. In my experience, everything bad in cats leads to cancer :(

It is an infection. She needs antibiotic cream or drops. You have to get them from a vet. The best way to put the cream in is to hold the cat in your lap with your legs crossed Indian style so you can hold her while you are putting it in. They hate having their eyes touched. You will have to do this twice a day for 5-7 days. Your kitty will not like it but it has to be done.
Whatever you do call the vet first thing tomorrow so it does not get any worse.
