God is a man-made idea. I think God doesn't exist.

Actually, it doesn't matter either way. If the universe is infintely old then the existence of a god is even more certain. See, God IS an alien: Ironically, god evolved and THEN created mankind.
Let me explain:
The fact than anything exists is proof that nothing has ever been the state of existence, for it is logically impossible for something to come from nothing (remember, nothing means no space, dimension, or possibilty). From this we can posit that something has always existed. That brings us to the usual crossroads in this debate: either god has always existed (and created the universe) or the universe has always existed (independent of a creator). In either case, God is a certainty. Let me explain:
If you argue that the universe has always existed, you must also argue that the universe is infinite, because at no point in the physical universe can something and nothing co-exist (i.e., if the only thing that exists is a basketball, what's all around the basketball? Nothing? Infinite, dimensionless nothing containing a finite something?? Impossible.)
If the universe is infinite and eternal (space and time are one, remember) then presumably it has been doing its thing (whatever it is doing now) for an infinite span of time. now, look what the universe has done in the last 15 billion years? It created you. The universe is pretty predictable and deterministic, so if it created life once, in an infinite span of time how many times did it create life? Did all of those life forms die out, or did some of them evolve way beyond the stage we are at and figure out how to live forever? Maybe we had a race of super scientists that learned, over the span of a trillion years (thats nothing in an infinite span of time, mind you) complete mastery over the universe.
God as a super alien? Not so far fetched is it - using our own precious concept of evolution! It really wouldn't even change our definition of God because in a universe without beginning or end how can one say that the creation of this super alien scientists did not happen an infinity ago?
Just keep two things in mind, if you remember nothing else: the universe is inifinite and infinity is the sum of all possibility. (in other words, in an infinite span of time, all possibilities WILL be realized). So, where are we now on that infinite timeline? Towards the beginning or towards the end? (What that means, basically, is that in an infinite universe, everything that can happen HAS happened...including God).
Mwa ha ha ha! Bow down to your space brothers! Mwa ha ha...

That's the beauty of it. It most surely is. And so are we. And so is God. Whether or not you want to believe it there are ways, albeit unscientific, to test all the stuff you have ever heard about religion and God, to know if it is real or not.
Surely you have read or heard about statistics and the universe. To simplify, say you drop a crystal vase and break it into so many peices of many different shapes an sizes. What are the chances of the vase spontaneously reassembling itself or through natural forces into its original shape? Next to nothing. The same thing applies to all things existent whether in the skies and space above, in the earth beneath, or in the waters.
Things are far to intricate or delicate and, dare I say, organized to have just fallen into place.
If there were no supernal intelligence to organize things the way they are now what did it then? Scientists have many theories that change from year to year but are so far unable to produce any consistent evidence of why "The universe just is".
On the other hand thelogans or theological oriented science has also been unable to provide any consistent or empirical evidence pointing to an almigty, omniscient creator of the universe.
Coming too know God and his ways has always been a matter of faith(i. e.trusting that things are that you that you have been told about but cannot see) and always will be.
thank you for the question.

quite frankly, I don't understand how people can propose this. Perhaps I'm just not smart enough to get it, but it doesn't make a gram of sense to me.
In short, time is measureable, and anything measureable has a beginning. Thus, time (and the universe) must have a beginning.
It's the same idea about the universe being "infinitely big". If space is a measurable quantity of something, then it has borders and must therefore be finite.
ok, time for an aspirin!

The universe just is...God just is...
It can be infinitely old...so is God...
I don't know much about the universe, but God Is...always has been & always will be...Maybe that is true of the universe...
(Though there is the possibility God created the universe??!!...which means they both just are...Just how it all happened, I have not a clue...I am neither God nor a scientist that I can explain this...nor I suspect can anyone although some very intelligent scientist or theologian might have some idea...as per Albert Einstein???)

it's not about God, or the beginning or the end of the Universe... Stephen Hawking also says that there is a beginning to the universe, the "big bang" well... how come we don't know what was here before that??? well.... ladies and gentleman, we are on the inside, what lies on the outside of this universe will most likely forever be unknown to us...

If the universe is never had a beginning or ever end, then a "Big Bang" could not have occurred either because the universe always existed according to you.

It has been proven scientifically that the sun would not have even existed in the time-frame required for humans to have evolved. It's so easy to assume that evolution as we understand it is true when we don't consider the fact that the sun and the earth did not always exist. It's just not as simple as people would have you believe. I'm not suggesting that believing in God is taking the easy way out of the problem, but I am suggesting that science is going to have to cook up a lot more than that to get me to turn from my faith in God.

eh.... you are placeing the universe before the creator. but the creator created the universe. and the christian god also has no beginning and no end, so why couldn't he create an infinitely old universe? what a silly question.

The order and complexity of our cosmos points to an Intelligent Designer. Caos might arise from spontaneous generation, but the universe is a well designed creation. Do we observe movement from caos to cosmos without a designer? Did your house just suddenly appear from a pile of concrete and wood? Did your automobile self-assemble from a pile of parts? Get real. The earth is about 10,000 years old...look at the lunar dust depth, and numerous other indicators.
