I would have to say; it's like that saying :"being on the same page" well, with family, everyone thinks that you automatically ARE on the same page, so to speak, but this is not always the case. In fact it can be much harder, for you are 'up close and personal' most of the time in a family, and it's hard to see the other side of the fence while you're too close. Hope you get what I mean.

I know its because they love me but whenever I leave the house i get 'Drive carefully!', and if I'm going out 'Don't get a ride with someone who's been drinking.' It really gets to me, its like they think I won't do the right thing unless they remind me too everytime..

Lack of communication, getting in arguments over petty things, the inability of my parents to recognize that I am an adult and not their little 'baby' anymore, and most of all...the difference in generations!!

None of us know how to treat a sad person. When anyone in my fam would cry, they would cry alone. Even now when our spouses or friends cry, none of us have a clue of what to do. It's like "How do I turn off the tap?" Sigh.

My family still treats me like a kid. I'm 23, practically married and I have a kid but none of that matters to them.

All the drama! And if you tell one person, anything, every one knows in two days top. Plus they want you to do stuff all the time.
