That's old news! I know so MANY people that go to church and do those "bad" things! I think the same way as you do. Why do they bother going to church if they haven't changed? Well, they're just people like you and I and they sin too. Some don't see what they are doing is wrong, others might have some sort of addiction. But, we can't judge others for the way they are.....we have to accept them for who they are. We still have to love them know matter what. It won't make you a worse person if you still go to church invited by them. Myself, I haven't gone to church for a few years now. That's just my preference because of the way I am. I'm not a very social person and it makes me uncomfortable. I still drink (some christians think thats a total sin!), I also eat pork (others think this is a sin!), I hang out with people of all kinds and all races (some christians wouldn't talk to a drunk or a drug addict!), and I surely try to not judge people for who they are, where they come from, what they've done......you know what I mean? If you feel that down with these people, then just go hang out with other people who make you feel better about yourself. Jesus went with all kinds of people, and I think if he was on this earth now, he would do the same. He wouldn't just hang out with the church going people....no way! Just don't let drunks turn you into a drunkard, or an addict let you become an addict...etc. Get it? So by all means, if you like church, go! Don't let them stop you from enjoying something that you like. Maybe join the choir or a prayer meeting and meet different people in the church. I'm sure you'll find someone that you'll like! God bless you!

We are all children, following our Father. Some of us are older, stronger, or faster than some of the other kids. Wouldn't our Father be happy, if we could turn around, and offer those slower, weaker, younger kids a hand over some of the rougher spots in the road?

In other words, be an example for these people. Do what you know in your heart is right, no matter what anyone else thinks, says, or does about it....and maybe YOU can be the one who lifts someone else up?

Hey, i know what you mean, i've been through that too. I use to think "heck, why am i going to go to church if theres a bunch of hipocrites there" ... and i heard my pastor say something that was true , that you don't stop going to mcdonalds because your server might be a liar, or to a football game because the person next to you might be a drunk.. so don't stop coming to church because of the people. Go to grow with God, and don't let ANYONE discourage you from your walk with God. Help those who are weak out, but don't stop going. Your faithfullness will be a good example to them, and God will bless you for it. Stay strong, and keep seeking God!

You do not go to the church for the people. Each one of us must choose the path we are to go on. If you do not care for the people that are bothering you stay away from them. Pray for them that they will choose the right path. Yes we as Christians are to walk in the Lord's shoes. We are to use the Lord as our guide in our daily life. This guide is love, compassion, and forgiveness. God bless and may His peace be with you.

Let those that are mis treating you know that you are aware of what they are doing, and it is not Christian to be acting that way.

Not everyone who attends church go for the sermon. A lot of them just go to say they went to church for image purposes.
Go for you and not for anyone else. God might move you to find another church. Pray to Him about this.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Perhaps these people who are doing wrong are in church so they can get help to do better. Please don't stop because of what other people do. You can still follow the Lord and be a good example for them and make a better life for yourself. I think God must be very pleased with you to find that doing wrong bothers you and that you are interested in becoming closer to Him. The one thing you can do is pray for these people and ask God to open their eyes and hearts to what they are doing wrong.

Going to church doesn't make you any more a Christian than going to work makes you a worker........... you have to apply yourself at it. And just like work......... the more you apply yourself, the more you get noticed by the boss when it comes to promotion time.

Church isn't a building you go to to get preached at.......... it should be an fellowship of men and women who share thier experiences with and love for God. Not the "holier than thou fashion show" it has turned into with all of the bastardized religions this new world has brought about.

Keep searching for a religion where the people practice what they preach and they aren't just "Sunday Christians".

They are out there. If you have a sincere strong desire to know God and his truths pray to him for help with that quest and be willing to recognize the help he sends.

Don't spent time around anybody that brings you down this world we live in today does that enough on its own.

you came in touch with hypocrites... church-goers who does the things in reverse of what is taught them. my friend, do not stray into paths of people such as these. you came to church to pray, solemnly. and that is the real purpose... to hear his words again, renew your faith in him. mingling with people after the mass is another case. here, traits and characters of people are discovered. here you could separate those who live in god's words, those who are deep in faith and those who just attend mass because they have too. when people like you who is deeply rooted in your faith, don't be alarmed that they want to bring you down. it only shows they envy you and their pride has been gushed and exposed. why be bothered by it? the truth has been exposed, then why dwell on their false ideals? cheer up, you learn from these that we are but human with faults and just be true to yourself. sure, no man is an island for we all need each other to survive. remember, each has a ride of his own, pushing you out of the ride, what would you do then? be humble in spirit, accept them for who, what, how they are. don't be other for in the end, only the almighty lord would see who are truly deserving to live under his cloak and haven... good luck and hope you'd know who are your friends and who are there just for the ride, okay? ciao...
