i mean to let go...as in to "trust"...not to let go as in to "get away from"...let go...be myself...give in to love...etc.

It seems you have certain hang ups, and the only one that can answer the why of it, is you.
It needn't be a permanent thing though, you can change your way of thinking.
But you have to start letting go, small steps at first, until you become more comfortable with it. In a fairly short time, you will feel much better about yourself, and be able let go, even further.
It means just taking those small risks, for a big reward.

Because love stinks! Even if you only love the sex! Learning to let go takes time... and lots of it. YEARS!!

It can be harder than hell and hurt twice as much. You may have to simply put distance between you.
