This is not so much of beliefs. I feel it has more to do with what was reported and also using a lot of inference. I hope the guys with STRONG RELIGIOUS BELIEFS will take my question within their stride.

Many people reported in near deaths situations of seeing a bright light before they lift off from their body and journey into a world of peace. It is a world of nothingness that no one of us can describe in layman's language. There is no heaven as we know it. There is no god. Just nothingness but peace.

The question is this. Could this be the real world the universe really is?

Is all the perception we have of what that is around us really NOT THERE? I do agree under normal circumstances, what I say can sound very silly. Of course, all that is around us is there. We can see and feel them.

However, could it be possible for some reason all these are only a figment? That is to say, the world of nothingness is more real than the world we live in. Therre may not even be any stars or galaxies that we are actually seeing. It is like all these that we see are brought into existence for us.

Could it be possible the universe that we live in is not really there and all these are brought into existence by our observations and beliefs just like the electron in the hydrogen atom? I read somewhere that in quantum mechanics, we can't really say the electron exists in the atom until we do experiments to test if.

I hope all you guys just take it within your stride. I am just wndering and ask.

Thanks to all for your replies.

I will try to answer your replies as general and as relevant to you replies as possible.

Some of you still replied you believe in a creater. That's ok! I am not saying you are wrong. Some say there is so much more there is out there. Some of you replied whether is there a heaven and hell and an after life.

But that is exactly the idea I am trying to broach. Are all these real? Is this universe only a universe of nothingness. All the others are only a figment of our imagination, brought into existence by our beliefs and observation. Even the laws of the universe may not be really there. It is there because we believe it is there. Can what I say be true?

All I know is that the patterns of nature and the laws of Science are the same, throughout the Universe. So if we evolved to consciencousness and some intelligence, then life evolves everywhere. Life must be brimming over in the Universe. Look at how much variety of life we have on our tiny world.

There are still many more mysteries in the Universe that we have yet to solve. But with Science, we begin to understand our place in the Cosmos. Something that religion will never be able to do.

OK you are getting very close! Yes to that is the real world the rest was made for our learning ground. I look at it sort of like there are parallel universe's created by God. One is here now, one is where we were before we came to this earth when we were just spirit children of God. One is the peaceful place we go and wait the Judgment of Christ. One is hell where the people who have done very wrong go to await Judgment. And then their may be several more after Judgment has been pronounced as all will not receive the same glory depending on their lives here on earth.

dude...i know what your saying. i asked myself...if god created us...who created god. is this just fake? am i just in a dream? is this even real? am i the only real one around here? do i even have a soul to go somewhere like heaven or hell? most important..am i real?
there is no answer to these questions. even the afterlife is just something that we see either as comfort "heaven" or punishment "hell". the only thing you need to think about is that there is a God. period. how else would we be in this structure inside and out...see, hear, listen, taste, feel.
there are signs everywhere but you just gatta look hard enough. if you find atleast one...you know there is a God. even if you dont believe it.
all of this could be fake, just in your head...but there is no other explenation. thats pretty much the answer to your question.

well science has answered all the questions of matter and energy for the most part but not life it has no mass no weight or form yet it acts apon the universe as a force. I believe life and it's creator exist outside of time and space therefor our only perceptions arn't native to where we are.we can only perceive and influence here but we can't be here.
ponder that awile

There is SO much more than this. Look at what we have found out only recently! Who knew we were one of millions of other galaxies!!!! we could be in one of many universes! Who knows what the truth really is.
