I have severe migraines. I am pregnant so they are worse. I will sometimes find my self shaking with unberable pain and unable to move or talk. My neurologist is trying something new this week with me. My problem is my husband, he says just get up and deal with it.He turns on the light and has total disregard. This is mean but I want him to experience this pain. I know I can't get him to my severity but I should be able to cause him a migraine. My question is how can I cause him to have a migraine? He will be much more understanding if he knows what it's like. PLease let me know how I can do this.

Well, I don't think it's the right thing to cause or even wish someone this pain!

Sorry I can't offer you immediate relieve - as soon as your child is born, I would recommend to go for a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. You'll really get rid of the migraine as the self-healing power of the body is boosted in an amazing way. I have experienced the treatment myself and I'm so convinced that I like to inform about here.

At present, the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing around 200 Dollars. Good luck - and I hope your migraine gets less already before the treatment.

I think this could start a family war. Don't take that route. Just have the doctor talk to him...What a meany!!!
My mom and husband have migraines and I know exactly how you feel. I may not feel it but I understand the severity of it. They can't do anything. The more they move, the worse it gets. The only thing that avoids it from getting worse (but not better) is sleeping in the dark. My husband actually vomits sometimes when it's really, really bad. My mom also gets extremely nauseated.

Stay strong. He'll get it...hopefully! But never hope for something like that on someone else. That's not dealing with the problem with integrity. He's probably just adjusting to your pregnancy and all the changes you are going through. Unfortunately, that is not the ideal way to go about. Anyway, I hope the best for you and just talk to him seriously and gently about your condition after the doc tells him.

You can't cause him a migraine. Perhaps giving him some reading material about what happens when you have a migraine will help. However, the attitude he displays suggests that may not respond to reason and talking.

Everyone can have a headache, but NOT everyone can have a migraine.

I have migraines....I know what you're feeling there. However, if this is your first child coming up...he'll know what a migraine feels like the minute your baby wakes him up screaming in the middle of the night.

um, i don't think you can MAKE anyone have a migraine. your husband is being a jerk. i know those are painful and he should be understanding instead of thinking it's just some little headache. hit him on the head with a frying pan.
