5. Do you believe that your God is anti-homosexual?
If so, explain why he would create homosexuals in the first place.
If not, refute or explain away Leviticus 20:13 and Romans 1:26-27.36.

This is what he said in Laviticus. 13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own head

This is what was said in Romans
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

So if you yourself had a child who confessed to be homosexual, would you withdraw your love from that child?
Come on, for the love of all things beautiful... put away the old testament once and for all. It says right there in the red type that the new covenant replaces the old one.
I never could understand that... when I asked how Christians could condone some of the barbaric inequities written in the old testament, I was told "it's just a history lesson - the new testament is what we follow now." And yet whenever there's some fire and brimstone to be handed out, the old testament gets dusted off and thrown at us yet again.
Make up your minds - either you follow it verbatum, or you don't!!
Why not just stick to the things Jesus may have said to get a better picture of how humans should act. You're getting people all mixed up by going back and forth like that.

None of these verses say homosexuality is right. Rather, Bible condemns it. When Bible says "Do not kill" it does not mean that God created killers. World is created with every possibility do wrongs and rights. And then God advised us what are do's and don'ts. Imagine the situation that a man advises his child when going to School - don't quarrel with your friends, don't take their pencils/pens etc. and so on. It doesn't mean that the father treats his child as a trouble maker or a thief.
This is the stage at which God advised humanity the do's and dont's. Opportunity is given to each individual how faithful they can be. If there is no possibility to sin, then all are alike. But God wants to select the best ones. So the choices and options and the wise ones will win.
The situation is to be looked at like an exam where you attend objective type questions with many options. Those who select the right one wins. The coaching is given throughout Bible.

Yes, it is true the Bible speaks of Homosexuality, and each time it does, it also condemns the act. However, when Paul wrote the Corinthians, he spoke of various people who praticed sin, including homosexuals, and stated that this what people used to be, before they repented and became aware of how God wanted them to live their lives (1 Cor 6:9-11). This actually liberates all from sin by showing them not to be limited by just the things they do, but the kind of people they are. All people can change, and all have weaknesses great and small. God looks on all sin as the same. This means, that just as one can quite abusing alcohol, sex, and drugs, so one can break free of the practice of sexual deviance. He did not create any of us with the sin we have today. That is a side-affect of our first parents' disobedience.

God created man and woman to be his mate. God gave both man and woman a choice. At first, the choice was simple: Do not eat the fruit, and stay in Eden, eat the friend, and face punishment. When man and woman ate the fruit, God banished them from Eden, but then their choices became more and more open. When humankind first began to populate, there was no such thing as incest, because there was no choice. When humankinds relations became further and further apart, there then became more choices.
Boys and Girls are not truly sexually aware until they are at least 10. No one is born gay, since there are no defining characteristics of homosexuality. One may say that gays talk and act in certain ways, but there are seemingly straight man who are gay, and seemingly gay men who are straight. I think that men who are effeminate may be more likely to have a gay relationship, but that is based on all kinds of factors all related to choice.
I am only straight because I choose to have sex with a female. I am not gay if I live with another man, unless I have sex with him. We may be close, and we may love each other, but not be sexually attracted to one another. Gay men are attracted to men, there is no doubt about that, but does that make it natural? Some men are attracted to young girls. Is that natural? Sure, there is an arguement that gay sex involved consenting adults of legal age, but that is not my point. My point is the attraction. If it was legal, and natural, and culterally acceptable, having sex with 13 year old girls would not be a problem for an adult male, but our society today dictates that it is wrong.
From a christian point of view. I don't think that the Bible takes sex very seriously. It was just accepted that Man and Woman should be together. And if there was honestly up front, MAn could be with more than one woman. Bible says that there is nothing wrong with that. What that tells me is that people choose who they have sex with, and God has told us that the only sex that he considers proper is with someone of the opposite sex. Men can love each other, but not lay together.
Long story short, God allowed Choice, not Homosexuality.
God allows speech, not lies.
God allows carpentry, not idols.
God allows the internet, not porn.
God allows for oil, not the murder of innocent troops under the pretense of forced democracy when really they are expanding capitalist ventures through savage tactics.

First, the trouble with using the Bible to argue a point is that there are no rules of engagement: whose to say your interpretation is better than mine? I've found that spiritual answers tend to start with personal experience and seldom evolve into rational arguments. So, I'll leave any Bible bashing out of my part of the discussion.
Second, God's relationship with homosexuals is the same as with you and me: he's our Father. God's love can't be changed by man's judgement. What's He to do with them? What's He to do with us? It's the same answer.
So, then there's the question about homosexuality and sin. Is it a sin to be homosexual? A lot of people say yes. A lot of them base their position on "facts" they've interpreted from scripture. But, if it's hate (which it is SOME of the time) then what's going on is scripture is being used as an excuse for acting opposite to the way we've been taught through scripture.
What authority do religions have for declaring what is sin? Most of them don't have any authority--just a zeal for scripture or God. So, it's people with a pedestal, some of the time, that is speaking in the name of God. Is this always true? No, there are those with authority, but that's a different question for another day.
Finally (I'll leave my answer kind of open tonight), there's the question of the purpose of life. What is the purpose of life? To learn. What do I learn from homosexuals: tolerance, vulnerability, openness, kindness, respect. What do they learn? I don't know. What does the Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and other religious communities learn from it? I don't know. But are we learning things? Absolutely.
Question: what are you learning from this experience?
I find that my spiritual experiences with God are tender, sublime, gentle, personal, powerful, wise, enobling, and graceful. I find that when I reach out to Him, I become more like Him. I find that when I fight for the truth, I don't feel like I do when I'm reaching for Him. So, I've concluded that the adrenaline rush I can get from arguing is because my ego mind is fully engaged in battle, but that's not the same as a religious or spiritual experience.
Thanks for waking me up tonight and posing some thought-provoking questions.

Homosexuality is just one of many kinds of sin that we are born into. Some are born into Homosexuality, some are born into murder, some are born into egotism... you name it!
It all ties back to the Fall, where we (Adam and Eve) were granted free will, and chose to fall.
Kinda sucks, but that's what happened--in a nutshell, anyway.

First of all, God didn't create homosexuals...He created normal people that are supposed to be attracted to the OPPOSITE sex. Homosexuals CHOOSE to be the way they are. No one was born like that.
