What is the difference from the Worldwide Church of God and just the plain ol' Church of God?

There is not much difference, if any between the two. Someone from the old church of God got really ticked off at someone else, for some reason, and broke away from the former. The told others about the transgression and got them to follow, and formed a new branch of the original.

People call Worldwide Church of God a cult but they really were basically a blend of Judaism & Christianity. It was just very different than other sects of Christianity. But they believed in the salvation of Christ so they were Christians. But they didn't celebrate Christmas, since Christmas is largely a Pagan holiday known as Yuletide, the celebration of the Winter Solstice.

WWCOG used to be a cult, and is still not quite recognized as a mainline denomination, but they have renounced the beliefs that made them heretical.
COG is a mainline Protestant Denomination, typically Biblically conservative and believe in the "sign" gifts (such as tounges).
