The company you're going to work with might give you a hard time about it, but if you really want to sell Insurance, keep at it. Keep calling them, write, ask to speak with anyone in charge. be honest always !
Insurance is a highly regulated industry.
They have to know you're trustworthy and have integrity.
On the application, it might ask if you've been convicted of any misdemeanors or felonies, so you have to answer truthfully. Have the date, county, state, and case number ready to show them so they know you're not trying to hide anything.
Hopefully that's the only thing on your record.
Good luck.
Email me if you have any more questions. ( I sell insurance )

Yes you can. Getting the license may be easy, getting appointmented with an insurance company will be the difficulty.

Yes of course.

I got my Illinois and Missouri licenses and if the folks attending the classes with me are any indication whatsoever, they'll let anyone sell insurance.

Yea but Dept of Insurance has the final say. They will more and likely delay the processing of your application with them. It will also depending on exactly what you were charged for. Now more and likely unless its a major violation they will probably start you on probation. Contact Dept of Insurance and speak to one directly.
