Being shy is not a sin. If the person respects you - or is scared of dating - not sure of themselves - it is not a negative towards you. I was always shy growing up. It was because my life experieinces were so small I had nothing to use as a guide for how to kiss, when to sit close, whether to pay for dinner dates....etc. Important you tell them that you want them to feel comfortable with you. If they are not - tell them perhaps you are not meant for each other....stay friends and see if the person opens up to fight for you/ keep you. At least they make up their mind if making an effort towards you and paying more attention is what they want to do .

It depends, if he is embarrassed to be around you or if he's just showing respect towards you because he really likes you.
