Your SSN is on your Mil ID, or CAC in the active duty Air Force. The serial number the other guy referred to is NOT on your Mil ID, because it is only the first letter of your last name and the last 4 digits of your SSN. BTW, why does it matter? If you're worried about having to copy it, it is on the front, but your DOB is on the back.
However, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER TRYING TO FORGE ONE. They have a lot of security devices on them and think about it, it's a FEDERAL document.

Yes it is on your CAC card(the new ID's) on the back. I'm fairly sure it was on the old green ones too, but it's been a few years so I don't remember exactly.
A long time ago there was a different number soldiers had, but they changed it to SSN because it's easier.

It has been on every military ID I have ever had and I am currently looking at the SSN on the back of my CAC card.
Hint: the US military uses your social security number as your service number and the Geneva Conventions require that this number be on your military ID card.

ZZZZZZZEEEEEEERRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It is NOT on there at any location!!!! Not even on the back!!! Who ever said its on the BACK has NEVER even seen one.... I can tell you now, that person would even get the color of the card wrong! Just someone wanting some points, look i check this about once every 6 months, and im glad i loged on today, Trust me, its not on there. Choose the best answer for the first person who picked no, and before everyone changes their answers, I believe it was the person who said "Im looking at mine now".
