I took a gram of acetaminophen (tylenol), even though I usually take 500 milligrams, my heart rate increased and there was slight pain in my heart, could this have been the cause?

Possibly. You want to be careful with acetaminophen. Symptoms of an overdose can be nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sweating, seizures, confusion, and an irregular heartbeat. Prolonged overuse can lead to kidney problems or even liver failure, particularly if it is combined with alcohol.

It is quite dangerous, and sometimes even fatal for people taking more than the prescribed amount of Tylenol. Go see a Doctor.......

Yes, that could be a very good reason. Just be careful and don't take that much in the furture.
