When you are born again you don't WANT TO SIN anymore!
In fact, it grieves you to sin after you have come to know Jesus Christ.

In fact you begin to take great joy in NOT sinning.

Because simply asking for forgiveness doesn't work like that. The Hebrew word for"repent" means "a turning around," (Jeremiah 18:11). So, not only asking for forgiveness, but also taking a proactive approach towards living a clean life, and not repeating the same sins is what we need to do in order to receive His forgiveness. He can also read our hearts and can tell if we are truly sincere when we say that we want to change and lead a clean life (1 Samuel 16:7).

There are others who have had the same idea. The pitfall you accidently die before you ask for forgiveness[the live fast and die young with a good looking corspe] Punishment often comes with living, illness resulting from lifestyle, injuries etc. We are all sinners you are sinning when you lie as well as when you steal. Daily repentance is necessary if you keep up with all your sins, or as the priest said go and sin no more,[go and do your best to live life with honesty. tolerance, forgiving etc.].

Because sin separates you from God. Sin leads you away from Him. As you sin more you get trapped and want to sin more even though it seems fun sometimes it leaves you empty and unhappy. You risk being hurt. You become hardened against good. You may not ever come back to God. As you learn more about God and develop a daily personal relationship with God you become friends with Him and do want to do anything wrong.

You are alluding to the notion of deathbed repentance. This is a false notion. That same spirit that possesses us at our death will also still be with us in the next realm. Therefore, we cannot afford to postpone the day of our repentance. We need to get in the right frame of spirit now so that when we do die, we will be spirituall prepared. To put off the day of our repentance until our death is to wait too long and not be able to repent for a life time of sin. You will not get the forgiveness you seek if you have procrastinated your repentance just so that you can continue to live it up.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but it did not make it a sin all you want and your forgiven free pass.

Jesus was beaten beyond human recognition, and looked as if he went through a meat grinder. Why? because when they hit and whipped Him, they used a whip that was called a cat of nine tails. It had sharp hooks and barbs at the end of the nine straps that after they hit Jesus bare body with it, when they drew the whip back to hit Jesus again, it tore flesh from is beaten body every time. He was beaten like this all over his body. When they were done with the front of him, they flipped Him over again and started on the other side.

Then they made a crown of thorns that had 2 inch thorns that were so strong and hard that they could be used as nails. They didn't just place it gently on Jesus head, but they pounded it into his skull, with a board.

Then Jesus had to carry His own cross up the mountain after being so baddly beaten and torn and tortured, and thrown onto the ground when He got to the top of that mountain. and had His wrists, not His palms, nailed to the cross, and then His feet nailed to the cross in such a position that is was hard for him to breathe. So to push up from His feet would be extrodnarily painful.

To add more suffering to Jesus, He was thirsty and they gave Him a sponge of vinigar instead of water. This suffering went on for hours and hours, until he finally died.

Jesus went through this so we could come to HIm for salvation and for forgiveness for our sins. How could you or anyone else take such suffering so lightly? Jesus did this out of love for us. You will never find another person who would suffer and lay down their life for you like this again.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

God knows if you are sincere when you come to Him. He's no fool. He will not hear your cries until you come to Him in complete repentance of your sins, and turn your life over to Him and leave your sinful lifestyle.

chdoctor is right. Paul spoke about that very thing.

When I accepted Christ, my outlook on sin began to change. The more I read about Him and realized that his motive was purely love, I realized WHY he doesn't want us to sin.

It's bad for us. It doesn't hurt God one way or the other, except for his sorrow for us.

Think about it. Everything we want to do that we know God would not approve of ends up being something that we regret anyway.
I'm sure not saying I don't sin, cause I do, but the things that used to be big deals to get to do are no longer tempting because I've seen what some of that stuff can do to people.

Do you know what I mean? or is it just me.

I have been thinking the exact same thing lately. If you think about it, it doesnt' make sense. In Christianity, which is what I grew up learning, they say God will forgive you every time you ask. But I think somebody has it twisted. I believe some things were added to the Bible to keep the slaves in line. For instance, .."turn the other cheek." I don't know anyone who wouldn't defend themselves in this instance. Don't even puzzle yourself dear, I don't think much of what is being taught is correct.

In addition to above mentioned, read Luke 12 40-48. If you are truly saved, God will convict your heart through the Holy Spirit, and will lead you to correction, if you continue to sin.

You can sin all you want, and God will for give you, only if you truely understand the sins you have caused were truely wrong, and feel truely bad about the sin that you have made. read 2 Chronicles 7:12-14 I hope this will help.
God bless
