actually they've already started to melt. This is part of the reason why Global warming is such a problem. The heat waves, the cold spells, they're not happening in the normal pattern. It's a sign of the changing Earth and hopefully not the end (in my lifetime), but I fear it will be. I'd start heading for the Southern states of America to have a better chance of survivial.
