I don't think Jesus wanted people to worship him. I think he wanted people to love one another.

Jesus was sent not to say He was God but save the world (john 3:16-17) and set an example so that we may follow Him and obey His commandments (John 14:20-21). Jesus recieved all judgement said to honor Him.(John 5:22-23 ) and that if youve seen Him, then youve seen the Father (John 14:7-9) and that He has all authority in heaven and on earth (matt 28:17-19)......right now you must believe that He is the Son of God who died for your sins and was raised from the dead. Do you?

He said something like: "I am within my father, and my father is within me." So, if you worship God in the Christian faith, you are automiatically worshipping jesus, because they're somehow intertwined. No one really understand the mystery of the trinity for sure. There are many different churches who hold different views on it. Most believe that he is definitely his son in the literal sense, but part of the same essence of God. However, a few believe that Jesus is God, literally. That the creator in Genesis is the Son in Matthew (i.e. United Pentecostals).

This is a simple lie about Jesus. Jesus always saw himself as our brother. He treated people with respect.

The idea of Worship was brought in when the romans took over the christian faith in the 4th century.
They demanded worship from those they held dominion over. They naturally saw it as approprate that Jesus be worshiped too.

Jesus did not come to be worshipped. He came to save humanity from hell.

"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28

Jesus said, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father." God asks us to worship him, so by association, Jesus wants our worship as well. He is God.

He never asked to worship him because he was just a prophet sent by Allah similer to all other prophets:

-"Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
- It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
- Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
- But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day! "

Jesus did not want man to worship Him. He wanted the focus to be on His Father in heaven..

John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I

All the glory is to Jesus Father in heaven and not for Himself
