with the techonolgy of this time. Would the people of that time treat him as a god and start a religion around him?

One would think that if you have the techonolgy to travel back in time, they would have invited techonolgy, power sorces to run computer, dvds and other stuff as well. All because internet or cell phones don't work because they don't have a network don't mean other techs don't work.

Probably, yeah.

Just goes to show you - a very powerful being is not necessarily a god.

no,they'd mistake the traveller for an alien that some claimed to see but never found physical proof until this traveller alien appeared.those people would think that he was a hostile trespasser and chase him with pitchforks.they worship the volcano god,not a traveller with weird clothes and a cell phone that doesn't work because 4000 BC didn't have wireless satellite connection(bummer) since the traveller can't prove that the cell phone is from a time where godly technology exists,he's seen as a liar and liars are not worth worshipping.

*i imagine the traveller would travel back in time in a car like in the back to the future movie, which is not very roomy to bring that many electronics or a power generator.i'm thinking that it would be a one time thing,so the traveller wouldn't be able to travel back and forth repeatedly to bring more products.i was saying that you can show those people computer programs and video games but internet access would require phonelines or a wireless satellite dish for dsl service.this question seems open-ended for exploration and personal interpretation but if i was one of those people from 4000 BC,i wouldn't welcome the traveller and ignore his or her attempts to impress me because i'd already be worshipping my current god and don't want to sell out lol

No ... the languages/dialects are so far removed from any of today's languages, so you would not be able to communicate. What good is a god that can't order his people around? I'm pretty sure any time traveler would end up on the wrong side of a spear in 4000BC. Short trip.

I'm sure they would see him as a threat, isolate and maybe even kill him.
