Today I had my hair cut short and the stylist spiked it using Bedhead pomade, and it is the grossest stuff ever. I think I would even be happy with my new do if it weren't for that stuff. It feels greasy and tacky, and looks wet. What other product is good for spiking hair without leaving looking wet? I like it to look stick out and look "big", but not WET. Thanks.

Easy. Use a 'Transforming Paste' by Aquage, crazy hold and has a matte finish. A wax product will mostly cause shine, and a gel will stiffen. A strong paste is the best solution to really get that spike all day.

Redken makes a great product called REWIND. I love this stuff and use it everyday for the past 5 years. You should try it! Smells great too!
