I am coming up with some "bad things" that a 5 year old would understand I need 9 and have 7 so far I have: Lying, cheating, stealing, denial, hate, selfishness, and gossip. 2 more would be appreciated! This is for a Sunday School Lesson

I am sorry sir but you are not understanding what I am doing. My bible study lesson is on the fruits of the spirit and I am explaining that these are the brances that God can cut away if we allow him so that we can produce fruit, the fruits of the spirit. I am not going into detail on these "bad things" but am just explaining that these are just some of the reasons that we cannot or do not produce fruit.

When teaching five year old children, it is ineffective to teach too much at one time. It would probably be better to demonstrate a lesson on sharing. Two or three older children could demonstrate, through a short play, how to share a box of crayons. You could ask the children if this would please Jesus. Of course, the children would answer yes. At this time in their lives, it is not good to discuss the concept of "cutting off branches." Young children want to please, and several lessons on being honest, respect, acceptance of differences, not talking badly about other people......If they could have multiple lessons on this when they are young and understand this is pleasing to God and to people, this would be something you could be proud of as a teacher and a Christian.

People who abuse children by teaching them about a fictitious judgmental punishing God who would allow anyone to go to a place called hell. This is as bad as it gets.

Even a 5 year old would understand this. To bad so many so- called adults don’t understand that this is child abuse.

We need to pray for them and ask God to show them the truth.

That's some pretty intense stuff for a 5 year old. You need to watch that you don't scare her irreparably. If you do she'll learn to hate and despise religion as she gets older. Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until she is old enough to understand and comprehend. Think about it before it becomes too late!

Saying bad words & being disrespectful. I guess a five year old would understand back talking a little better than disrespect. I have a four year old and these are some areas that I have to work on with her lately. ( not that she cusses, a bad word for her is, stupid)

first, denial is not a sin, unless u mean denying Jesus, that keeps u out of heaven. some other sins are; adultery, fornication, homosexuality, distrusting God, and a lot more
